After more than 25 years in residential construction, I’ve seen the same pattern repeat: projects don’t fail because people aren’t capable—they struggle because they don’t have clear, unbiased guidance early enough.

Build Coach exists to fill that gap—bringing structure, clarity, and real-world building experience into the planning and decision-making process, before uncertainty turns into costly revisions.

Who I Am

I’m Geoff Kennedy, a custom home builder with over 25 years of experience in residential construction across Ontario.

I’ve spent my career working alongside architects, designers, trades, and homeowners—building and renovating homes, navigating real job sites, and solving the issues that don’t show up on drawings. I understand where projects tend to drift, where assumptions break down, and how small early decisions can have an outsized impact on cost, timeline, and complexity.

With Build Coach, I bring that experience directly to clients—offering the same level of practical insight and planning support I’ve used to guide successful projects from concept through completion.

What I Do

Build Coach provides independent, builder-level guidance to support better decisions at every stage of a custom home or major renovation.

Build Coach is intentionally independent. I’m not here to sell construction services or secure the build—I’m here to provide clear, experienced guidance so homeowners can move forward with confidence.

Whether a client hires a builder, works closely with a design team, manages their own project, or combines elements of each, the goal is the same: better decisions, fewer surprises, and a smoother path from planning to completion.

For clients who choose to take on a more hands-on role, managing their own project can meaningfully change the financial structure of a build—often freeing up significant budget that can be redirected toward the home itself rather than traditional overhead and markup.
